Ministries

Boise Friends Church offers a variety of ministries both to our church family and to the community. We hope to minister to both spiritual and physical needs. Some of the following ministries are held here on our campus and some are ministries we support that take place elsewhere. While we can’t meet every need, we are open to hearing how BFC might minister to you.

Little Friends Indoor Park

Between the months of November and March, Boise Friends Church opens the doors of our spacious, heated gym to children aged 0 to 6 and their parents.  With a variety of age-appropriate toys, fun equipment, and plenty of room to play, Indoor Park is a much-needed place for little ones to burn off energy during the cold winter months.  In addition, Indoor Park provides much-needed opportunities for parents and caregivers of young children to connect and build friendships.  Admission costs: $1.25 for one child, decreasing for each additional child in the family to cover building usage costs. Infants under 9 months and parents/guardians are free.

Benevolence Fund

A special fund is reserved to help others in need in specific situations.

Loved…Sew Much

If you love to sew, knit, crochet, or cross-stitch, this ministry is for you! Love Inc. invites you to join in a new endeavor that allows you to share your gifts with the families in need in the Boise community. Help them keep their client families warm this winter. Hats, scarves, blankets and fun pillowcases are just some of the items they are looking forward to providing with “Loved…Sew Much!” But this isn’t a seasonal ministry. The intent is to sew, knit, crochet, and cross-stitch all year long.

Even if you aren’t a seamstress, a knitter or don’t have a clue how to crochet or cross-stitch, you can participate by donating the much needed fabric, yarn, etc. For more information on how you can participate, please call the church office at 375-9580.

Congregational Care Fund

A fund has been set up to help our church family deal with financial distress.

Love, Inc

Boise Friends Church has partnered with Love, Inc. in Boise.  This is a group of churches who is working together to help provide for people in need.  We provide gas vouchers and school supplies (other churches fill in for other needs).  If you are interested in these or other services, please contact Love, Inc. at 377-3529.
