Women and girls are invited to a luncheon at Boise Friends Church on Saturday, March 7th at 11 a.m. Friends churches from the Treasure Valley will be meeting together for the annual spring lunch which will host Dr. Samuel Retnaraj and his wife Priscilla. The Retnarajes are missionaries from India serving with Evangelical Friends Mission in Nepal. Three years ago they were in our church and met many people at that time. Their work is primarily a medical mission work that not only helps meet critical medical needs in remote areas of Nepal, but also takes the message of Jesus Christ with them as they go.

Please bring a salad to share.

Don’t miss a new season of Wednesday Night Fellowship! Dinner is served at 6:15-6:45 p.m. Cost for meals, which are cooked by volunteers, are minimally priced so that families can participate:

Adults /children 12 and older: $3.00
Children ages 4 to 11: $1.00
Under 4 : no charge
Family maximum $7.00

After dinner, choose from a variety of classes for every member of the family. Classes are held from 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Child & Youth Classes:

For Babies
Quality Nursery Care is provided for children two and under by qualified, college-aged babysitters.

For Preschoolers
Preschool Care involves three-year-olds through kindergarten age in supervised play activities and fun crafts.

For Grade Schoolers
Kids Club, for kids 1st through 5th grades, is a fun, interactive class that includes discussion of how Jesus wants us to live, learning about missions around the world, music, and other group activities.

For Middle School and High School
Youth Groups for middle school and high school meet in the youth rooms off the gym for fun games, fellowship, and group discussions of important issues and faith.

Adult Classes:

(Each class will last 12 weeks.)

Come, Follow Me: Learning the Journey of Faith
This class is designed for those who are exploring their own faith, who want to know how to experience God, or who just want to review from the beginning what this journey of faith is about. This course, written by Joe Gerrick (and his engineer’s mind), delivers a straight-forward approach to what the message of the Bible is really about. Leaders are Janice Piña and Cheryl Engel whose experience teaching this class in the past makes them excited to have a chance to be a part of it again. “This class changes people’s lives,” is how one person described it.

Faith Lessons
Filmed on location in Israel, these videos bring God’s Word to life with astounding relevance for modern believers. One way for us to know Jesus—and thus God the Father and the Holy Spirit—more intimately, is to carefully assess our 21st-century culture and Western attitudes in relation to and in light of the 1st-century world of Jesus. Immersing ourselves in the culture of Scripture and Jesus of Nazareth often brings additional insights to our understanding of the text. Each video section is followed by discussion questions. Class facilitators are Aaron Hutchings and Gil George. Aaron, who also lived in Israel, shares his own passion for Jesus and the land where He lived.

What Does the Bible Say About…?
Following a different theme each week, Marv Hasson leads this group in discovering what the Bible has to say about many issues that we are confronted with. Participants have a chance to ask their own questions and learn together what God’s answer is. This is a continuation of the class begun in the fall, but newcomers are welcome to join in the class. Marv’s love of teaching and of God’s Word, plus his love of people make this a class with a great sense of belonging.

Stretch your legs and expand your world at Indoor Park.
